We are a young, innovative company and offer the first motor vehicle insurance in Switzerland to work completely via smartphone. With our product, you will be completely insured with our Swiss partner (Dextra Versicherungen AG) and can receive a bonus according to your driving behaviour.

What data is collected and processed and for what purposes?
When you use our app, we collect some information about you so that we can guarantee you a user-friendly and personalised app experience and provide the product services in accordance with our GTC.
As soon as you use the kasko2go app, we collect that data that is necessary for the use of the app and for opening an account.
When opening an account.
When you open an account at kasko2go, the following personal data will be collected:
Gender, family name, first name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, driver’s licence information (incl. place of birth and nationality), language for correspondence and IP address, date of registration, date of acceptance of General Terms and Conditions of Contract and further relevant contractual documents.
When using our application
As soon as you use the kasko2go app, we collect the location and movement data of your mobile phone in anonymised form and, accordingly, the location and movement data of your vehicle (location and speed of the vehicle, duration of use, etc.). With this data, you help us to optimise the services and functionality of our app so that we can align these better with the needs of our customers. With the location and movement data collected in this way, you also make it possible for us to continue to develop the individual, usage-based insurance policies and thus to introduce better offers.
When contacting our service centre
When you contact us, for example to report a fault or an improvement suggestion for our app, we collect your report, your email address and marginal data (such as time, IP address and so on).
When using the services of our partner companies
Payment – for insurance premiums and more – is processed at kasko2go via certified and market-leading partner companies (third-party providers), with whom you enter into a separate contractual relationship. kasko2go subsequently works together with partner companies in the area of insurance and other industries. kasko2go has no influence on the data collected by these partner companies. We therefore refer to the data privacy policies of these third-party providers.
Log files and other identification technologies
We collect and use the information that you submit to us when using our services via the kasko2go app or our customer services (place, time, duration of use; type of vehicle; distance travelled, etc.). We need this information for the implementation of the mutual contractual performance. When you use our app, we implement log files and other identification technologies. These serve, among other things, the authentication of users, the saving of user settings and also the analysis of our app as well as implementation and evaluation of advertising campaigns.
This means we can offer you a personalised app experience.
When you download the app, we assume that you accept this use.

Will my data be disclosed to third parties?
kasko2go discloses personal customer data in connection with the use of the app to third parties only as follows:
- for the purposes of conclusion of the contract (i.e. to credit assessment companies as well as road traffic authorities)
- for the verification of contact data (to residents’ registration offices or credit assessment companies)
- to a limited extent for referral programme/recommendation programme providers for the purpose of scrutiny and possibly advice by the policy holder’s insurance agent
- for kasko2go’s promotional purposes
- to the authorities in accordance with the statutory provisions
- for safeguarding the legitimate interests of kasko2go (e.g. in the risk of claims by third parties or authorities against kasko2go)
- to the insurance companies for the purposes of the conclusion of a motor vehicle insurance policy: kasko2go and Dextra Versicherungen AG work together and mutually exchange all necessary data. This makes it possible for you to receive a bonus on your motor vehicle insurance based on the number of kilometres you drive and/or your driving behaviour.
How long is the personal data saved?
The length of time the data is retained depends on the purpose of use. Data will be retained only for as long as this is necessary for business purposes and proportionate.
Data that we have to retain for a certain length of time based on statutory requirements (e.g. in the case of documentary and retention duties for proper accounting for legal or tax-related reasons) will not be deleted.
Once the purpose for saving no longer applies or the prescribed retention period expires, we block or delete the data routinely and in accordance with the statutory provisions.
In addition, we delete your data when you request that we do so and we have no legal or other duties of retention or back-up in relation to this data.
We only permanently save your data once you conclude the registration process. If you do not conclude the registration process for our app, we cannot clearly identify you. In order to protect your data in this case, we delete the non-registered data at regular intervals.
What measures are taken for the protection of personal data?
We take technical and organisational security steps in order to safeguard your personal data against manipulation, loss, destruction or against access by unauthorised persons as well as to guarantee the protection of your rights and compliance with the applicable data protection provisions.
The measures taken are designed to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your data as well as guaranteeing the availability and capacity of our systems and services in the processing of your data in the long term. They should also ensure the speedy recovery of the availability of the data and access to this in the event of a physical or technical incident.
Our data processing and our security measures are improved continuously in line with technical developments.
Particularly sensitive data (such as access data for your profile account) are encrypted (SSL) in transmission through the Internet.
What rights do you have?
You generally have the rights of information, correction, completion, deletion, restriction, objection and revocation in relation to your data.
When we process your personal data, you can generally request information on this processing of your personal data at no charge, have the processing of your data restricted, correct your personal data, delete it or have it blocked (“right to be forgotten”), revoke consent granted and object to the processing of your personal data.
We will inform you if we cannot delete your data yet because of a statutory duty of retention (see “How long is the personal data saved?”).
