For Users
If you are selling the scoring to more than one partner, what is the incentive for additional partners to purchase the scoring?
We have technology that has proven to reduce the loss-ratio for insurance companies. With our unique scoring system, we will be able to provide the opportunity for insurers to better understand the risks associate with each driver and optimize their portfolios. This is the direction that the insurance market is heading in, and with the advancements in technology, insurers will need to evolve with or without us. Insurance companies that adopt our technology will experience benefits regardless of whether they are first or last to do so. Importantly however, the few that adopt our technology first will experience the largest benefits. The last to do so will be forced to evolve or end up becoming niche players catering to drivers who either do not want to be observed by insurers
Self-driving cars will address some of the highest risks like traffic density in and around cities and eliminate most of the driver-related risks. How will this influence our strategy and our solutions?
We welcome this market shift, even looking forward to it. In our product Normal Sigma the driver behavior plays almost no role in the final output of our system. The main output of the system is the surrounding environment in which driving takes place. This means that it makes no difference who the driver is, be it a robot or a human, if rain makes driving more dangerous it will make it more dangerous for both human and a robot driver. The main difference will be the ability of the robotic driver to analyze multiple streams of information, this will allow the robot to take the information from our system into account in real time. This will also make us a data provider for the future in which AVs (Autonomous Vehicles) are the norm.
What makes you think the users (drivers) will allow you to access their data?
Clearly there is a reluctance in society to share personal data. We understand this, and that is why the data we collect is anonymized and limited to driving related data. While our recent consumer survey indicates that a reduction in insurance premiums is the most important usage decision criteria for consumers (representing around 60%), at the same time, data processing represents just 5% relative importance to the consumer. This is also consistent with our experience, as our existing insurance partners that are using our software are showing high acceptance rates.
How do you persuade distribution partners to give you data on their customers?
Distribution partners simply allow us to install our API into their existing applications. Their users must decide whether they would like to provide their data, not the distribution partners themselves. It is also important to note that the data that we collect is solely driving data and is anonymised. If the user decides to share this data, they will be able to benefit from monitoring their driving score, skill-based rates and our "accident map" safety feature (coming soon).
How do you pay distribution partners commission in the event that the data for a user comes from multiple distribution partners?
As soon as the data for a particular driver enters our system it is assigned a unique key. This process is only performed once per driver, so the driver will be assigned to the first distribution partner to provide the data for the individual.

Will I be distracted by the app while I am driving?
No. The app records your journeys in a background mode.
How can you make sure that I was really at the wheel during the journey?
Our app is automatically activated as soon as it detects a movement (automatic start – stop). It can also determine whether you are on foot or using a vehicle.
